SportManager Limited has been established to develop online solutions to enable team managers to professionally administer and organise their teams.

Initially SportManager is releasing versions for Football, Rugby Union and Rugby League with more sports being launched during 2007.

Mark Haslam (Sport Development Director) also knows only too well the issues surrounding managing an amateur football team.

"The concept came to light when I found myself in the position of managing an under 10’s team a few years back. I undertook this willingly as my love for football was still strong and my hunger to pass on my football knowledge very much the driving force. I ended up having a squad of 20 players which seemed fine in the begining ... but had lots of unforseen problems as time went by. The football side of it was great - but I found myself concentrating more on organising than coaching!

I had bits of paper coming out of my ears, with scribbled bits of notes ranging from 'Dave owes subs', to 'Russell on holiday', 'Carl has been injured', to 'kit needs washing'. I had money for fines mixed up with training money, player fines not paid, phone players, tally accounts, players on holiday, sweep changing rooms, arrange meeting points... the list was endless! I was under-manned, un-organised & unreliable! I was doing 4 jobs - Manager, Coach, Treasurer & Secretary as well as playing myself and having a full time job! I knew there were so many people in the same position out there as I had spoken to them. It is hard work and at times stressful to juggle all the roles that come with running a team of any kind. We have all done this, mostly unpaid, out of love for the sport and the satisfying rewards it gives to ourselves and others.

With this in mind we have developed an online manager to help you securely store all your important facts, figures, times, dates and any other useful information you would normally scribble down on paper. SportManager will help you to organise your team, record matches and formations and to keep in contact with players easily, leaving you free to enjoy the part of the sport you enjoy the most ... The Football!"

SportManager Football is aimed at any level of amateur football team that needs managing; 5-a-side, school teams, men and women's amateur leagues etc.
In fact, we would like to think that our solution will be used globally as the issues of managing a team are worldwide.

The SportManager features have been developed based on feedback and market research from current managers. In order to improve SportManager we welcome all feedback and suggestions.
